A REAL SURVIVOR !

At age 50, my husband wanted a divorce! Consequently, I lost my home where I had raised my children, bought a home, moved and 2 weeks later, discovered a lump in my breast. After many tests, it was discovered to be cancer! Welcome to my new life! 2 surgeries, 42 days of radiation, and 6 months of chemotherapy. (On the same day of my diagnose, my 80 year old dad, 500 miles away, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s!) I tried to continue in my teaching job in the public school, but had no AC and would come home hot & exhausted (also covered in atopic dermatitis-eczema) and go straight to bed, wake up the next am and start the routine over.

Somehow, I made it thru the year! After chemo was complete, then I began radiation and would go directly from my classroom to the hospital for treatment.
Somehow, God gave me the strength to get thru this nightmare! Now I see my same oncologist a decade later 2 times a year & celebrate life every day!
